From the chair to the academy
Muharrem Bilen sees men’s hairdressing as a craft: the right cut completes a face and gives a person confidence. That idea started in his salon in Ümraniye, Istanbul, and has grown into a network of branches across Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, Trabzon, Sakarya and Dubai.
His link with football began by cutting the hair of Süper Lig players. Today Turkish and international footballers such as Arda Güler, Dušan Vlahović, Burak Yılmaz, Miralem Pjanić trust him before they step onto the pitch, alongside names such as Acun Ilıcalı, Murat Boz, Mustafa Sandal, Mustafa Ceceli, Beyazıt Öztürk and Nusret.
Muharrem Bilen Academy was founded to pass this experience on to a new generation. The goal is simple: turn someone with no experience into a men’s barber ready for the salon in 3 months.
