How the 3 months work
| Period | Focus | What you learn |
|---|---|---|
| Month 1 | Foundations | Holding scissors, comb and clippers; hygiene; sectioning; the classic cut on training heads |
| Month 2 | Technique | Guard blending, fades and tapers, scissor-over-comb, beard design, blow-dry |
| Month 3 | Salon | Supervised real clients, colour basics, skin care, speed and communication |
What affects the timeline?
- Practice ratio: programmes heavy on practice get results faster.
- Attendance: missed sessions directly slow progress.
- Extra repetition: extra work on training heads shortens the process.
- Real clients: the salon builds speed and confidence more than anything else.
What happens after 3 months?
The goal is that you can independently perform the services clients ask for most: the classic men’s cut, fades and beard design. Mastery comes from cutting every day once you start working.
See the men’s barber training page for programme details.
